•    Only a few weeks left until the convention.  We will also only have two more podcasts until then.  The next cast will be the Plaid Tongued Devils.  Then, just before the convention, our podcast will feature two interviews, one with each of the lifetime achievement award winners.  Leo and Diane Dillon, and Patricia McKillip.  We will then take a short hiatus for the convention, then come back with sights and sounds of the World Fantasy 2008

•    By the time this goes out, pre-registration and banquet selection will be closed.  Registration will now only be available at the door.  This will be for $180.  Thanks to all who are coming, we look forward to seeing you at the convention.

•    If you will be attending the art show and plan to bid on any of the artwork or purchase anything from the printshop, our bidding information and art show rules and regulations can be found in the art show in the details section of our website

•    For those who will be at the convention early, we will be having an Early-Bird Social on the evening of Wednesday October 29th.  This event will feature the band The Plaid Tongued Devils.  We want to make sure everybody is aware this event is sponsored by Hades Publications.  Please check our website for their official invitation to the event as well as a schedule of when you can meet some of their authors at the convention.  Hades Publications will also be giving away a prize pack at this event.  If you will be attending on Wednesday and wish to have your name entered in their draw, please send an e-mail to Hades Publications.  Once again, thanks to Hades Publications for sponsoring this event.

Episode 13 - Will Shetterly and Emma Bull

00:00 - Opening

02:26 - Intro

*    Welcome from Ryah and Kurt
*    This episode:
    Will Shetterly and Emma Bull

•    The opening music was done by Emma Bull during the reading she did here at Sentry Box

02:42 - News

•    We are gearing up for Calgary’s local Science Fiction/Fantasy convention Con-Version  which will be taking place August 17 – 19.

•    We also did some pre-planning for the BBQ we will be having September 8th.  If you are in the Calgary area we suggest you come.  We will have details posted on our website within the week.

•    For those who wish to purchase memberships in CDN funds not using Paypal we have changed the CDN (only) registration form on our website to reflect the rising Canadian dollar.

•     While we have had lots of interest, we will not be accepting applications for dealers and artist until November 1st 2007.  One thing I will mention, however, is dealers tables will NOT include memberships.  I mention this because membership rates go up October 1st so you may want to consider purchasing yours soon (if you haven’t already).

•    We will not be having an August meeting so there will not be an e-mail then.  The time we would normally have this meeting falls too close to our local SF convention’s date and many of the World Fantasy 2008 committee will be involved in that.  Instead we will move our September meeting to the 8th before our BBQ. (the podcast will still go out however)
